Andrew Kioi Njeru is the Chief Executive Officer of the Credit Information Sharing Association of Kenya (CIS Kenya), bringing over a decade of senior leadership experience in Kenya’s banking and financial services sector. He is a seasoned credit risk professional with deep expertise in regulatory compliance, credit information automation, risk-based pricing frameworks, and data-driven innovation. Throughout his career, he has led transformative initiatives that strengthened bureau data quality, enhanced compliance standards, and promoted responsible lending practices across the industry.

He holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics and Mathematics from Kenyatta University, a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi, and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K). Andrew has authored peer-reviewed research papers in credit risk management and is widely recognised for his technical leadership in risk modelling, governance, and financial sector reform.

As CEO of CIS Kenya, Andrew is committed to advancing data integrity, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, and promoting financial inclusion within Kenya’s credit ecosystem. Under his leadership, the Association continues to champion a transparent and efficient credit information sharing framework that supports responsible lending and sustainable economic growth.
